Trimline Telephone

This iconic style of phone hit the market in 1965 and was developed by Bell Systems

The Trimline phone is a series of phones produced by Western Electric, the original manufacturing company of the Bell System. In its early days, it was one of the best and most reliable electric telephone systems available to customers across the United States, and it is still used today for various office and logistical applications.

The precursor to the Trimline was the Princess, also produced by Bell, and both phones had lit numbers, whether it was rotary or key pad. This style of phone is probably one of the most popular telephones of the modern era and is seen not only in television and movies ever since it came out, but probably also found in your parent’s house when you were growing up.
